The University of Tampa’s Alpha Kappa Psi chapter, known as the Phi Upsilon chapter, was officially installed on November 10, 2024. This milestone marked the establishment of the first professional co-ed business fraternity at UTampa. The chapter is open to students from all majors, reflecting Alpha Kappa Psi’s commitment to developing principled business leaders across diverse academic disciplines.
Dr. Kathryn Weaver serves as the founding faculty co-advisor for the Phi Upsilon chapter. In this role, she collaborates with business students from various majors to help them achieve their academic and professional goals through advising and mentorship.
The Phi Upsilon chapter is part of the larger Alpha Kappa Psi network, which is the world’s oldest and largest professional co-ed business fraternity. The fraternity emphasizes the development of business skills, leadership, and ethical practices among its members. By establishing the Phi Upsilon chapter, the University of Tampa has provided its students with an opportunity to engage in professional development, networking, and community service, all while fostering a sense of brotherhood and unity among its members.
